News : Conduant Corporation Recognized Among Fastest Growing Technology Companies Nationally and in Colorado

October 19, 2005

LONGMONT, Colorado, October 19, 2005 –Conduant Corporation (www.conduant.com), the leading developer of direct-to-disk, long duration recording and playback systems, announced today that it has improved its high rankings in two prestigious award programs sponsored by Deloitte & Touche. Nationally, Conduant placed 193rd in the Technology Fast 500 and in Colorado, the company placed 7th in the Technology Fast 50.

Conduant revenues grew 860 percent over the last five years and moved up two points from 9th position in the 2004 Fast 50 program, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in Colorado.  The company also improved its rankings by 35 places in the Fast 500 national program by moving up from the 228th position.

"We are honored to be recognized in the Deloitte & Touche rankings for the second consecutive year,” said Ken Owens, CEO of Conduant. "We attribute Conduant"s success to being responsive to our customers demands for higher performance in government, scientific research and defense applications. Not only has our company experienced exponential growth, but our latest generation of technology, Amazon, has doubled the performance of our recording and playback systems to more than 400 megabytes per second. Customers are responding to our direct-to-disk technology by replacing their tape systems with our StreamStor® family of products because they need our ultra-fast speeds and reliability.”

"Growing the top line enough to make the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is especially meaningful during tough economic times for the technology section,” said Mark A. Evans, national managing partner of Deloitte"s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group.  "We congratulate Conduant on repeating its position as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America.”

How companies are ranked

Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and Fast 50
The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte"s 19 regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. Rankings are based on five-year growth in revenue. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 2000 operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively; and 2004 operating revenues must be at least $1 million USD or CD.
