Trouble sweeps over Lufthansa
Lufthansa is facing threat of pause in operation due to the strike announced by their pilots’ union. The airline’s pilots have threatened to be on strike from Monday through Thursday. This will dampen their flight operations majorly. Even the partner airlines of Lufthansa would be affected. They are getting prepared for facing the strike.
Lufthansa have already announced cancellation of their flights from Monday to Thursday. Lufthansa officials confirm that the strike would heavily affect their international sectors, since the airlines are catering to the routes worldwide. Their alliance airlines would also be facing hiccups on their operations.
As per IATA, Lufthansa had bagged the second position among international carriers. Their passenger strength was around 42 million .
The previous year had seen a bad phase of Lufthansa with many of their routes getting canceled. As much as 600 flights got canceled last year. The demand through strike is job security says their pilot union.
