Recovery of Health insurance companies
It is known than health insurance companies have increased their profits despite the troubled economy in US. They have increased their profits by 56 percent. But, there are also data that shows that they have lost almost 2 million customers.
The health insurance giant Anthem has sharply increased the premium rates. The increase has been as much as 39%. Many customers had been affected adversely by the sharp increase in their health insurance packages. The insurance company has also cut down on benefits.
The insurance companies blame on the high medical cost, for the increase in their premiums. But their hiked charge has caught so many customer. Many are unable to continue their coverage. Many had to compromise on their benefits. The individual insurance policy holders seems to have been affected the worse.
The US government has taken steps to interfere and cut down the hiked charges. Necessary bills are expected to be cleared in this regard.
