Swiss is the most competitive economy
The Switzerland economy has overtaken US as the most competitive economy of the world, due to the bulging US budget deficit and also due to the rattled US financial system. The drop in US competitiveness coming at this turbulent time, could only delay the US economic recovery.
The US economy badly needs more manufacturing to happen in its soil , if there has to be a economic recovery. For that it also needs to see a surge in domestic demand which is again difficult given the 9.7% unemployment. So there seems to be more obstacles to US economic recovery than previously thought.
