Google reports record 1.6 billion profits in September quarter

The March 2009 quarter and June 2009 quarter were not so good for Google because the top line was badly hit due to US and European economic recession. But the special efforts taken by the internet leader over the last few quarters on cost cutting front and business process changes have yielded the desired results.
For the September 2009 quarter Google has reported a massive 27% increase in net profits, at 1.6 billion dollars. This profit figure is also the highest ever profit reported by Google since inception. That is indeed a marvelous achievement and seasoned analysts expect the company to post better numbers in the coming quarters, even as the US economy recovers.
